Geri Hongeva (Navajo) is the Tribal Content Developer at the American Indigenous Tourism Association, where she assists Native American tribes across the country to help them market their travel and tourism destinations. She has a BFA degree in Visual Communication from Northern Arizona University. Her clans are Yei Dine Tachiinii (Red Running Into The Water Clan) born for Tsenjijinkini (Cliff Dwelling Clan). Her maternal grandfathers are Kinlichii’nii (Red House People) and her paternal grandfathers are Bįįh Bitoo’nii (Deer Spring Clan). Geri has heavily promoted travel and tourism on the Navajo Nation for two decades. She has worked for Twin Arrows Casino for 12 years, Navajo Parks & Recreation and Navajo Division of Natural Resources combined for eight years, and has helped with Native American Cultural and Language Preservation working with NAU Anthropology for more than eight years. She has been a member of the Arizona American Indian Tourism Association since 2008, coordinating cultural performances for the Arizona Indian Festival. Since 2017, she has also served as a board member of the Navajo Hopi Honor Riders and awarded the "Women in American History Project" by Daughters of the American Revolution in the Grand Canyon Chapter.
